The effectiveness of modern production processes is limited by impurities in machining systems, which are associated with many defects and errors and the final quality of products.
The project "Sensi-Snow Blast" is based on the recognition that using dry snow can ensure the required purity of materials without damaging or affecting their operation.
In this context, the development of a system for the reliable and precise production of dry snow particles, which is a complex process, is not yet known as an effective solution in global surface cleaning technology. It is also one of the main purposes in the development of dry-cleaning technology to acquire knowledge about the specific effects of processing on the surface properties of sensitive materials.
The objective of the Sensi-Snow Blast project is to develop the solution needed by manufacturers in modern process-intensive industries, where the need to clean delicate parts of hardware due to the high degree of automation and robotization is most prominent. The primary target market for solutions is represented by manufacturers of parts and accessories for motor vehicles, manufacturers of industrial machinery, manufacturers in metal processing and in the aviation industry. The start of the development of innovation is a direct response to the identified technological gap in the niche market for technologies for the industrial cleaning of sensitive materials, such as microelectronics, printed circuit boards, processing units and the like, which are fundamental elements of modern machine tools.
The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
