Shot Peening of special leaf springs

KOMBI BLAST 2 S-PEEN is fully automated version of Softline blast cabinet, designed and made for precise Shot Peening.

The Shot Peening cabinet KOMBI BLAST 2 S-PEEN is designed for Shot Peening of special leaf springs made from Inconel, which are used in nuclear reactors. Leaf springs are treated with Shot Peening to remove internal stresses after cold forming and harden the surface layers of the material. The cabinet is divided in two chambers. Right chamber is designed for oxide scale removal from the surface. Blasting nozzle is mounted on the linear manipulator with oscillation. Left chamber is designed for Shot Peening of leaf spring surface after EDM. The chamber is equipped with a turntable with a special fixture for leaf springs. Shot Peening nozzle is fixed from the side. Shot Peening cabinet KOMBI BLAST 2 S-PEEN is connected to CENTRO 4/2 recycling system, which is equipped with cyclone separator and storage hopper. A special pressure pot with precise metering of shot media is used. All vital parts are made from stainless steel.
